My modified version of crust & pie filling originally from recipes of my dearly foster mom Jeannette (USA) & my aunt (Netherland) in combination. Still missing Jeanette "Strawberry Pie" in the summer with whipped cream topping ..yummy..

Apple Crust (estimated)
500 gm flour
50 gm sugar
2 tsp baking powder
1 tsp salt
1 egg
ice cold water (optional - for crispy outer shell)
250 butter (estimated)
mix flour, sugar, salt & baking powder. dig a well and break the egg, slowly mix with tips of our finger the flour and the egg until all well mixed. then add butter. Knead the pastry lightly, once you can form a ball, it is a sign the butter is sufficient. prick holes on the crust. Half bake the crust. then only pour in the fillings and cover totally or just strings of dough on top.If you decide to have borders -make sure the boarder is wrapped with aluminium foil half way through.
Apple fillings:
apples sliced or diced
cinnamon powder
sugar
vanilla to replace vanilla sugar
raisins or mixed fruits
2 table spoon of flour or corn flour
water - same level with apples
drops of lemon
cook till the fillings thickens or the non-cooked fillings
mix the sliced with 2 tbs of flour, cinnamon, raisins, & sugar and pour them on the crust. Cover and cook for roughly 40 min. sprinkle powdered sugar on top -- huh macam Anna Olson pulak rasanya..
