It is stressful but who can deny the fun of creating something from nothing and the feelings after seeing the end products. My first creations were my own wedding gifts and those were really horrible. Nothing to compare with the ones coming from the groom. After mine, I started to get involved in creating the hantaran for my brother's Engagement. Since then, getting involved in more than 12 sets of engagements & wedding gifts of all 5 sisters. Always gotten assistance from my sisters and my cousins.  'Last minute' is the trade mark. We 've tried before to get started early. Nothing happened. so the last 48 hours is the best time.. Till I get my own son-in-law, for my own daughters  - not so soon I hope.. These are the latest and the finale of all my siblings.

Prelude I thought I was not prepared  The book is written to help people prepare for Haj journey.Who are we to say we are not ready. When it is fated and planned for us, There it is coming unexpectedly. No Expectation This journey was a gift - unplanned unexpected. It really came to us by surprise. Very much beyond expectation. That was the year we had Eid celebrated yearly at the Kulliyyah. Suhailah told me, her husband wanted to go for haj this year so she submitted the form. I heard and thought of it but deep down knew, it was not possible.  But as I got back to the office, I thought of responding to the email inviting IIUM staff to apply for Haj trip that year. It was a normal busy days at the Department, I filled the form and requested my PA Ika to find time when she could send the form to the office of the mosque. It was passed over due. Bread & Butter Pudding

buttery..  lovely taste... My Bread & Butter Pudding recipe has evolved through out the years.. I am not sure how this recipe developed for the first time. But I know a good bread pudding comes with the sauce.  Because it is family favourite, and sometimes requested by friends & lately students, I probably have made more than hundreds time. Anyway, the best part is, I cant say it is the same old recipe.. worst of all, I don't have the exact measurement. That can frustrate some.. My 'agak-agaklah' can be irritating to those who hope their bread pudding to turn out right the first time they make it.  Look at the top pix. At 3 different  occasion, they looked so different. different design too!
